چکیده
Abstract Yellow nutsedge is one of the most widely distributed and troublesome weeds in world. Field greenhouse studies were conducted to optimize strategies for increased yellow control turfgrass with halosulfuron sulfentrazone. In field study perennial ryegrass mixture, single or sequential applications (3 wk after initial) sulfentrazone made on June 3, 23, July 15, August 5 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. Percent was rated within same growing season September 17 following year 3 carryover control. confirm that a 3-wk interval resulted >95% nutsedge–turfgrass mixture. study, both herbicides reduced root rhizome dry mass from 39% 98%, number new tubers tuber fresh weight 38% 100%, prevented re-emergence. Sequential either herbicide early postemergence recommended optimal Herbicide application using should be as possible postemergence, preferably at three- five-leaf stage 200 250 degree days (GDD, 10 C base). Mowing can an effective method reduce growth. 7.6 cm weekly by 55% formed 63% study. Physical removal plants such hand-pulling manage (200 GDD). End-users maximize integrating treatments cultural practices mowing hand-pulling.

Control of yellow and purple nutsedge in elevated CO2 environments with glyphosate and halosulfuron
Atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) have significantly increased over the past century and are expected to continue rising in the future. While elevated levels of CO2 will likely result in higher crop yields, weed growth is also highly likely to increase, which could increase the incidence of herbicide resistant biotypes. An experiment was conducted in 2012 to determine the effec...
متن کاملSOIL ATTRIBUTES AND THE EFFICIENCY OF SULFENTRAZONE ON CONTROL OF PURPLE NUTSEDGE (Cyperus rotundus L.)
In the soil, herbicides are submitted to absorption, leaching and degradation by physical, chemical and biological processes or absorbed by plants. All these processes are dependent on soil class and weather conditions and affect the product efficiency on weed control. The objective of this work was to investigate the influence of soil attributes on sulfentrazone efficiency for controlling purp...

Field studies were conducted in 2007 and 2008 near Nyssa, OR, and Pasco and Paterson, WA to evaluate yellow nutsedge and broadleaf weed control and potato tolerance to imazosulfuron. No injury symptoms from imazosulfuron were evident on potato at Nyssa, whereas in Washington, imazosulfuron caused some chlorosis of potato foliage ranging from 6 to 15% and , 4% at 6 and 15 d after POST applicatio...

The competitive advantage of purple and yellow nutsedge in low desert alfalfa production areas of Southern California and Arizona is due to a combination of factors. These include frequent harvest and irrigation, high incident solar radiation, high summer temperatures that are supraoptimal for alfalfa growth, and the presence of C4 photosynthesis and vegetative reproduction (e.g., tubers) in nu...
